Other Required Packages

The following five open source packages (not developed as part of the OpenSAF project) are required to successfully build OpenSAF Release 1.0.7. Links to the packages and license terms for each are provided.

• Net-snmp 5.4: Net-snmp is used by OpenSAF for managing the OpenSAF configuration. It also provides Management interface to user applications through OpenSAF SNMP subagent. You can download the Netsnmp5.4 from .http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/download.html. Net-snmp is covered under BSD license which can be found at http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/about/license.html

• Xerces C++ version 2.7.0: Download and follow instruction for installation of Xerces 2.7.0 package from http://xml.apache.org/xerces-c/. Xerces parser uses the standard Apache license, which can be found at http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0.html

• DRBD Version 8.0.0: This is an optional package used to replicate state information between controllers. DRBD 8.0.0 can be downloaded from http://oss.linbit.com/drbd/. DRBD is provided under the GPL or LGPL license. Additional information can be found at http://oss.linbit.com/gpl.txt

• TIPC: TIPC is used in OpenSAF for intra-cluster communication. Download the TIPC sources relevant to your kernel and build it. http://tipc.sourceforge.net/download.html TIPC is provided under a dual BSD/GPL license. http://tipc.sourceforge.net

• OpenHPI: Opensaf interfaces with underneath platform using saf hpi interface. You can download SAF HPI B spec implementation from http://openhpi.org/
