Current Members
Participate in the OpenSAF project
Involvement in the OpenSAF project is free of charge and open to anyone. Find information on the technical aspects of the project, including downloads, mailing lists and roadmaps, at the OpenSAF Developers website, http://devel.opensaf.org/.
There are many ways you can participate in the project: for example, you can contribute code, test the code, or help with documentation. You can also work with the project's infrastructure, assist with release management, help OpenSAF users, or be part of marketing and evangelism efforts on behalf of OpenSAF.
If you decide you would like to contribute code to the project, you should download, fill out and return the appropriate Participation & Contribution Agreement, according to the instructions on the Corporate Participation & Contribution Agreement or the Individual Participation and Contribution Agreement.
Join the OpenSAF Foundation
The OpenSAF Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization incorporated in Delaware, USA, supports and facilitates the OpenSAF project in order to accelerate the development and adoption of the OpenSAF code base in commercial applications. The Foundation provides the OpenSAF project with organizational, marketing, legal and financial support. Companies seeking a role of leadership or influence in the evolution of highly available middleware are encouraged to join the OpenSAF Foundation and help steer our course. In return for support and participation, OpenSAF Foundation members receive a variety of benefits, which vary according to membership category (see the Membership Benefits table for details).
OpenSAF Foundation membership benefits include regular opportunities to discuss and influence the OpenSAF project roadmap in an open forum, and inclusion in marketing activities that promote OpenSAF and Foundation member companies through editorial coverage, public speaking engagements, and publicity for members' OpenSAF-related products and services. Foundation members also enjoy a direct relationship and channel for communication with the OpenSAF project's technical leadership.
Any organization or individual may join the OpenSAF Foundation at one of our three membership levels. Membership at the Sponsor or Contributor level includes an obligation to provide resources to actively work on the project, whereas Supporter members can benefit from close collaboration with the project without a resource commitment. However, OpenSAF Foundation members at all levels are strongly encouraged to participate in the development work of the project. See the benefits table for details.

How to Join the OpenSAF Foundation
OpenSAF Foundation Membership Levels & Benefits
The OpenSAF Foundation offers three levels of membership. Please review the descriptions and the benefits table below to select the level that's right for your company.
Sponsor Membership - For companies that want the highest level of participation and strategic influence with OpenSAF, and who are willing and able to take high-profile leadership roles in the organization. Sponsor Members commit to providing a minimum of three (3) fulltime employees to carry out the work of the Forum, or the equivalent. Annual dues are $30,000.
Contributor Membership - Targets companies that seek strong involvement with OpenSAF and are interested in actively working forward the organization's goals. Contributor Members commit to providing a minimum of one (1) fulltime employee, or equivalent, per year to the work of the Foundation. Annual dues are $15,000.
Supporter Membership - Aimed at organizations that want to be on the inside of cutting-edge open source middleware technology, to collaborate and be publicly associated with the industry leaders driving innovation, or simply to support OpenSAF. No resource commitment is required, though all members are strongly encouraged to participate in the OpenSAF project. Annual dues are $2,000.
